I mean, she’s lasted me like 2 years, but she’s old and falling apart. And I simply can’t keep spending this much money on her. I’m better off getting a replacement. Hopefully I can afford a decent one in a month and a half or so. It’s going to be a bitch, but this is what I’ve been saving for. And it’s one step closer to moving.
Basically I’m going to stop playing around and actually actively look for a job. Up until now, I would do one or two applications a week, but I was being purposefully picky and wouldn’t call places because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do the job.
I’ve called half a dozen places in the last 15 minutes, did one online application, and am filling out a paper one.
It’s more than just needing money (even though I really really really need money). I need to be able to prove to myself and others than I can survive and support myself all on my own. That I’m not just a little kid stuck in an adult body.
…Not to mention I need new tires for my car to make sure I can keep making my monthly 5-hour drive to see a certain Cuban.

I’m going to go do the notary and pick it up in an hour or so.
So one of my best friend’s since I was 12 is getting married. She’s moving to Iowa or Missouri or something. I dunno.
ANYWAY. Her dad, my old pastor, is selling her car. A ‘92 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The gas gauge doesn’t work, nor does the a/c, and it has 110k miles on it… But it’s $500. And my pastor of 9 years isn’t going to purposefully rip me off like that.
I’m talking about it with my parents, getting some info on the car. I’ll be honest, I absolutely don’t mind a piece of shit for my first vehicle, as long as it lasts a while til I can afford something better. I deal with no a/c in my parent’s van anyway, and it’s so old that it has a cassette player which I think is better since I can buy one of those things to plug my mp3 player in through that and have no hassle.
Not to mention I could move out so much sooner and easier if I have a vehicle. I need this to work out.
